From the State Horse Racing Commission:
Please be advised, that on February 28, 2023, The State Horse Racing Commission approved a new Administrative Policy to remove a horse from Lasix. The new Policy states that a horse can now be removed from Lasix without having to qualify, the Trainer would have to declare the horse off of Lasix at the time of entry, the horse will then be tested after the race and examined for any signs of bleeding.
This Policy Change will take effect on April 1, 2023, so any horses that are entered on or after April 1, 2023, and the Trainer wants to remove the horse from Lasix, they must make that Declaration at time of entry.
