The members of the Meadows Standardbred Owners Association have voted Phoenix Warrior N as the 2018 Horse of the Year at The Meadows.

Owned by Timothy Betts, Nicholas Catalano and Stephen Moss, Phoenix Warrior N won 13 of 29 starts overall in 2018, a majority of those victories coming at The Meadows.

The 8-year-old gelding, trained by Scott Betts, finished in the top-3 in 27 of his 29 starts for the year.

For his efforts, he was named Aged Pacer of the Year, then was voted Pacer of the Year and Horse of the Year, beating out Trotter of the Year, Lisa Dunn’s Classicality, for the top honor.
