The following is a notice from the Pennsylvania Harness Racing Commission:
Please be cautious and speak with your veterinarian regarding the medications Dexamethasone and Betamethasone regarding dosage and possible withdraw times. Recently the PA Harness Racing Commission has issued warnings regarding the medication Dexamethasone.
Starting November 1, 2014 warnings will no longer be called on any samples collected regarding this medication and penalties will be accessed for violations. Also on November 1, 2014 the PA Harness Racing Commission will begin testing for the substance cobalt.
