An expanded gaming bill has been introduced in the Pennsylvania Senate and House of Representatives. The bills will be going through several committees and it is imperative that MSOA members call their Senators and Representatives to express the wishes of the harness racing industry.
Our message to legislators is simple but very clear:
Horse racing will be severely negatively affected unless racing receives its fair share of the expanded gaming revenues just like the slot revenues of Act 71 have been divided. Any expansion without including racing will cost horsemen and breeders millions in revenue that is directly spent on agri-business in Pennsylvania and thousands of jobs.
